You will learn about the work of these various services, as well as the entry requirements and promotional opportunities.
What will I be doing?
You will cover:
- uniformed public services employment
- public service skills
- uniformed public service fitness
- adventurous activities and teamwork for public services
- the value of sport and recreation in the public services
- law and its impact on the individual
How will I be assessed?
You will be required to complete assessed work throughout the year and complete one larger assignment towards the end of the year. You will also be expected to work independently and carry out individual research projects.
Where do I go from here?
Achievement at Merit standard (and with the appropriate level of key skills) will allow you entry to the BTEC National Diploma in Public Services. Alternatively, you may choose to go directly into the Armed Forces at the end of this course.
