About this course
This qualification is suitable for those who are new to teaching exercise and fitness and is a practical course requiring good co-ordination skills, a degree of personal fitness, a sense of rhythm and the ability to count to the beat of the music. We also recommend that you complete the level 2 certificate in fitness to give a good understanding and knowledge of the FITT principles. Personal attendance of an exercise to music class is an advantage.

Course programme
Blended learning course with access to a course manual. Home study of at least 6 hours per week is essential to meet agreed target dates. Compulsory attendance at tutorials and workshops is required. There are seven units to complete; Unit 1 - Anatomy and Physiology Unit 2 - Know and Support Clients Unit 3 - Health and Safety Unit 4 - Principles of Exercise and Fitness Unit 5 - Planning of a Session Unit 6 - Delivery of a Session Unit 7 - Self Development Assessment methods include; multiple choice test, worksheets and observation.
