About this course
By interview plus a Level 3 qualification or equivalent, and satisfactory initial assessment results. Four GCSEs grade A-C to include Maths and English. Mature learners with relevant experience are welcome to apply. All applicants must have a clean CRB check.

A key feature of this particular Foundation Degree is that it will focus on the transition children and young people make between services.
The Foundation Degree provides an educational opportunity for undergraduates who come from a variety of backgrounds who are engaged in working with children and young people.
Theprogramme aims to provide appropriate academic teaching from a wide variety of disciplines, including the NHS, Health and Social Care and Educational arena
This course has links with local and national employers ensuring that skills are developed through work-based learning, which is a major part of any Foundation Degree.
This combined with higher-level knowledge and understanding reinforces and supports the development of vocational skills.
This course is designed for those already working in or wish to enter a career in children's services. Attendance is one day per week, and modules include safeguarding children and young people; child development; health and wellbeing and health promotion. Homework or private study is required.
