Course Content:
The qualification consists of 3 mandatory units: Explore and understand roles in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people Understand legislation and policies which safeguard children and young people Develop personal skills to effectively contribute to the safeguarding of children and young people Assessment will take place in the form of an internally assessed portfolio

The NCFE Level 2 Award in Safeguarding Children and Young People is an ideal qualification for those who work with children and young people who require specific training in this area. This qualification has been developed in response to the Every Child Matters: Change for Children agenda
