How can I progress?
On successful completion of this qualification you can progress into the Higher Diploma in Construction. There are opportunities to study Architecture, Quantity surveying, Land Surveying, Project Management, Civil Engineering, Building Surveying at Degree level or you can seek employment.

Course Structure
Whilst studying towards this qualification the following areas of study will be covered; Principal Learning: this is the work related part of the Diploma that focuses on the construction industry, including subjects such as Design, Applying design Principles, Using tools, Methods and Materials, Value and use of the Built Environment, Maintenance of the Built Environment and Modern Methods of Constrution. Project: This is offered as a stand alone qualification, It will enable you to demonstrate your ability as an independent learner and allow you to extend your planning, research and presentation skills. This qualification will support your aspirations towards further and higher education and career development opportunities. Functional Skills: As employers need good literacy, Numeracy & I.T. skills the Diploma allows you to produce hard evidence that you have those skills.
