Introduction
This is an exciting and adventurous course for young people who are interested in outdoor activities and sport.

About the course
You will spend at least two days each week enjoying sporting activities like canoeing, rock climbing and team sports and two days working on personal development.
You will learn how to handle equipment and improve your confidence by working with groups of people in new situations.

The course includes

• Leadership
  
• An introduction to coaching
  
• General sports such as football, basketball, badminton, golf.
  
• Functional skills in Maths, English or ICT

• Level 1 qualification in Sport, recreation and allied occupations
  
• Awards in canoeing/kayaking
  
• Functional skills in Maths, English or ICT

• First Diploma in Sports Performance
  
• First Diploma in Adventure Sports
  
• If successful at this level - National Diploma in Adventure Sports or Sports Performance and Excellence
