The course will also deal with elements of the French speaking culture and lifestyle. It combines in these new units the content of both the 30 hour French 1a and 1b units.

From this course you can progress to year 2. If you wish to study the subject further in your own time, there are plenty of sources of information, such as the BBC learning zone, which broadcasts language programmes throughout the year, websites which provide general and specialised material and a variety of books and revision guides available in local shops. Your tutor can advise further and may recommend a particular book. This applies to languages at all levels and will be equally relevant if you decide to move onto a higher stage.
