Course Description
This course runs in conjunction with the BTEC National Award for IT Practitioners. This full-time, two year programme, equates to three A Levels.

This course gives an understanding of information technology and relevant practical skills at an advanced level. Using work-related contexts and innovative teaching and assessment methods you will gain a broad introduction to ICT. Each module is delivered by highly qualified staff with specialist industrial knowledge. Work experience is through collaboration with employers on various projects such as website and database design.

Content of the BTEC National Award complements that of the main course in widening knowledge and promoting deeper understanding. There are no exams for either qualification; 15 of 18 units are 100% coursework and the other units involve the production of coursework in controlled classroom conditions.
