Description of the Course
The Association of Accounting Technicians is the professional organisation for accounting technicians. It provides a recognised qualification and a membership body for accounting support staff working in accounting practice, industry and commerce and the public sector.

Course content
The programme consists of:

· Maintaining financial records and preparing accounts (exam)
· Recording and evaluating costs and revenues (exam)
· Preparing reports and returns

Assessment
Candidates must successfully complete:

· 2 External examinations
· 5 Skill based assessments
· A portfolio of work related evidence

Who is the course for?
Students who have completed Level 2 in accounting and who wish to progress further in the accounting sector

Entry requirements
You will have successfully completed a level 2 programme. You may also be asked to demonstrate your commitment and skills in an interview.
