This one year course requires students to have 4 GCSEs at grade C including English, maths or science. Students may also enter onto this course if they have completed the City and Guilds National Certificate at Merit or Distinction Level. Mature students are considered without formal qualifications.

What will the course involve?
The course is made up of five core and five specialist units including: advanced animal health care, animal handling and safe working, kennels and cattery operations, animals in society, animal science, environmental and human interactions on ecosystems and husbandry of exotics.
