Entry Requirements
Five GCSEs at grade C or above including C in Science. Must also be actively involved in two sports.

Course content
Application of anatomical and physiological knowledge to improve performance.
Acquiring, performing and teaching movement skills.
Contemporary studies in physical education.
Performance and its improvement through critical analysis.
Practical assessment of two physical activities (playing/ coaching/officiating).
A2: Year 2
Psychology of sport.
Historical studies in physical education.
Exercise and sports physiology.
Performance and improvement through critical analysis.
Practical assessment of one physical activity (playing/coaching/officiating).

How Will I Be Assessed?
There will be one exam in June of the first year of 2 hours. This makes up 60% of your assessment while the practical assessment makes up the remaining 40%.
A2 is assessed by a 2 hour 30mins exam Sport Psychology, Historical Studies in PE, and Exercise and Sport Physiology (70% of mark) and a practical performance assessment of one activity (30% of mark).

What Could I Do Next?
Coaching, sports centre work, PE teaching, HND or degree in sports related area.
