Course Description
A full time 1 Year course for new entrants into the Beauty industry. The course includes practical beauty skills including theory, basic anatomy and physiology, Health & Safety at Work and reception duties. In addition all students will spend time working in the College Beauty Salons which are open to the Public. All learners under 19 are required to undertake Key Skills in Communication, Numeracy and ICT.

Entry Requirements
Entry to this course is based upon a combination of previous experience and qualifications as well as an assessment interview with College staff.

Assessment Methods
Ongoing assessments are tested with practical, oral and written assignments. There are final written (or online) exams at the end of each unit.

Progression
Learners can progress onto the Beauty Therapy NVQ 2
