· Course Overview: · The BTEC First Diploma is designed to provide a specialist work-related qualification in the health and social care sector. The course provides opportunities to acquire skills which are transferable to work based practice for successful performance in working life.

Entry Requirements: · An intermediate course suitable for those who have at least 4 GCSEs, including English Language, at grades D or a relevant/equivalent Level 1 qualification. This could be a BTEC Introductory Diploma, a City and Guilds qualification, an NVQ Level 1, a GNVQ Foundation or relevant work experience. The course includes a placement for which all students will need to have a CRB enhanced disclosure. This means that any student without a clean police record will need to discuss their individual circumstances with the course tutor prior to enrolment.
