Introduction
This is an introductory course to the Early Years Sector for those people who may want to work with children.

Description
The course is full-time and topics covered include personal development, human growth & development from birth to old age, food & nutrition, health & safety practices in home & group settings, care of children and play & practical activities. This is a fun and interactive course with an equal balance of theory and practical work.

There is a range of teaching methods including practical workshops, lectures and assignment work. Placements will be organised in various childcare settings.

Progression
Successful completion of this course can lead to the Certificate in Child Care and Education Level 2.
