WHY TAKE A BTEC DIPLOMA / CERTIFICATE IN CHILDREN'S

This is a demanding full time course which provides training for those who wish to work with children aged 0-8 years in a variety of settings. You will undertake part of your course at College and within arranged training placements so that you will gain experience with different age groups. Completion of your studies will give Qualified Practitioner Status (for 0-8 years) which is essential for employment in this sector.
You can study for either a Diploma or Certificate qualification. If you intend to go straight into employment then the Certificate is the correct choice and for University you should follow the Diploma route.
WHAT ARE THE KEY AREAS OF STUDY?

You will also learn about working with families and other professionals and also legal, historical, social, economic and environmental issues which affect children and their families.
WHAT SKILLS WILL I NEED AND DEVELOP?
You will need a mature attitude and a commitment to complete the course. Working independently and undertaking research will be a large part of the course along with the development of practical skills.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
