What will I be learning?

This is mainly a practical course. You will gain a wide range of experiences in our outstanding workshops in order to assess your own strengths and develop personal preferences. In term two, you will get a chance to specialise in the area of your choice. Following working on research projects, you will build a highly
sophisticated portfolio.
There is also an element of contextual studies, which involves looking at the work of other artists, craftspeople and designers and relating your findings to your own professional practice.

How will I learn?

You will work on a range of projects towards three major assessment exhibitions in December, March and June.
There will also be a range of critiques and presentations each term.

You will:

Have the opportunity to learn from a comprehensive programme of specialist visiting practitioners.

Be invited to participate in our two day visit in October to specialist galleries in London.

Have a chance to take a part in cultural visits abroad.

What can I do afterwards?

The philosophy of this course is to prepare you for progression to a range of specialist higher education courses.
