What will I be learning?

You will learn the following: scaffolding, working with others, efficient work practices, painting, paper hanging and decorative spraying.

There are weekly classroom sessions to enable you to build up a portfolio to evidence your knowledge and skills.

How will I learn?

Your study time will take place in our modern well equipped workshops. Materials are provided free of charge. Key skills are an integral part of the programme. You will be assessed in a practical working environment on your ability to carry out a wide range of skilled tasks. To show your skills and understanding you will put together a portfolio and take a multiple choice test.

What else might I want to know?

You will be required to provide suitable clothing for praactical activities, footwear and white overalls must be worn whilst carrying out practical work. You will need to provide basic stationery and contribute towards costs of any trips and visits.

What can I do afterwards?

On successful completion of the level 2 diploma you could further your academic studies by progressing on to National Vocational Qualification Level 3.
