About this course
Applicants will undertake a teaching placement which will encompass the full role of a teacher for a minimum of 150 hours. Successful applicants will also hold an appropriate qualification in the subject they are teaching, eg degree, professional qualification, HND/HNC or other advanced level qualification. All applicants will also have GCSEs at Grade C or above in Maths and English.

Summary:
This is the required qualification for anyone who would like to teach in the learning and skills sector. It is the initial Teacher Training Award designed to meet the new standards developed by the Sector Skills Council, LLUK (Lifelong Learning UK).

Full Description:
This course explores practice and theory relating to teaching in the lifelong learning sector, including assessment, evaluation, managing learning behaviour and curriculum issues.
Throughout the course, literacy, numeracy and ICT skills are included as part of the award. By the end of the course (to achieve QTLS) candidates will have to show evidence of professional formation.
