Course Details

Mandatory Units: Working safely in an engineering environment Developing yourself and working with other people on engineering activities Optional Units to be taken: Joining using welding techniques Using oxy-fuel gas cutting equipment Subject to the ability of an individual and time remaining on the course, other units may be added to the qualification such as: Working with thick plate Working with sheet metal

Qualifications required:
There are no formal entry requirements but applicants should possess some practical ability. This course has been designed for those wishing to gain employment in the fabrication and welding industry.

Course length:
12 weeks.

The College's Cannon Street Centre

September.

Course hours:
18 hours per week for 12 weeks.

Additional info:
Students are expected to provide personal protective equipment, boots, overalls and general stationery equipment. Details of requirements will be given at interview.

The one year EAL PEO NVQ Level 2 course.
