Method of assessment:
20% speaking and listening coursework, 20% reading and writing coursework, 60% end of year exams.
Progression opportunities and careers:
English GCSE, together with other GCSEs is the most frequently requested qualification for progression to AS and BTEC National certificates, as well as progression to training and employment.

The GCSE full time programme is primarily for 16-18 year old students who have previously completed a GCSE programme at school. The objective of the course is to provide students with the opportunity to improve the number of GCSE grades at C or above that they achieve. Students applying must be motivated and focussed on achievement.
