Course Description
The course is designed for those who wish to pursue a career in the aviation industry. The course is recognised by leading UK organisations including British Airways and Servisair and includes all of the latest industry requirements and practices. The focus is on practical airport and onboard operations and development of workskills needed to be an effective employee.

Delivered over seven months, you will study at The Aviation Academy in high tech, professional standard training rooms with top of the range furnishings, interactive learning technology equipment, including mock airline cabin and a teaching team of industry specialists. There is also the option to study at the Centre for Travel and Tourism Studies at Skipton with regular visits to The Aviation Academy facilities.

• Cabin Crew Room Duties
• Introduction to Airline/Aviation Operations
• Preparation for Employment as Air Cabin Crew
• Role of Air Cabin Crew (Onboard)

In addition you will develop work skills through a portfolio of additional qualifications, e.g. BTEC Certificate in Workskills, Key Skill Communications, Public Speaking qualification (English Speaking Board) and NCFE Certificate in Customer Service.

Learners with a distinction profile may progress to a Level 3 qualification.

Assessment
The course is assessed by an assignment programme for each unit. Evidence for assessment is varied and reflects industry standards. You will produce a variety of written work, e.g. reports, information packs, short answer tests and portfolios. You will participate in practical assessment activities, including presentations, role plays and field trips.
