Fs and Gs at GCSE or equivalent

Course content
This course aims to give a broad introduction to a variety of vocational areas and also will include some Maths, English and IT. This course uses units from more specialist qualifications. These units will include 3 out of the 4 following units:
From the Hospitality, Travel and Tourism qualification we are completing:
The Aspiring Chef unit
Introducing Customer Service
From Health and Social Care qualification, we are completing:
Developing Skills in Health and Social Care
Looking After Children
From the Sports and Leisure qualification we are completing:
The Health body
Organising a Sport or Leisure Event
From the IT at Work qualification, we are completing:
Developing Skills in IT
IT Applications

How Will I Be Assessed?
There are no exams with the Introduction to Vocational Skills course; your work will be assessed by coursework.

What Could I Do Next?
An intermediate level programme in any of the vocational areas. You will also have developed skills which will be useful in the workplace and an NVQ level two course could be an option at this stage.

Are There Any Special Expenses?
There will be a small (optional) charge for ingredients within the Aspiring Chef unit. Also, there will be a number of trips for this course. However the cost will be kept to a minimum.
