Course Details
This course is suitable for students who enjoy the subject and which to increase their opportunities to enter the Hairdressing
Industry. Practical experience is gained through working in the College Salons which are open to the public. Students require
self-discipline and good motivation.

What will I study?
There are nine units required to achieve this programme:

· Health & Safety

· Positive impression of yourself and your organisation

· Advise and consuilt with clients

· Shampoo and condition the hair and scalp

· Cut women's hair using basic techniques

· Style, dress and finish hair using basic techniques

· Colouring hair using basic techniques

· Fulfil salon reception duties

· Develop and maintain your effectiveness at work

All lecturers have a teaching qualifcation, and are fully quailified hairdressers with a minimum of 5 years industry experience.
In addition, all tutors continue to practice as stylists.

Entry Requirements:
Progression/Careers: On successful completion of the programme, students may progress onto a Level 3 programme which will train you to the same level as experienced salon stylists and managers.
