Learn the basic skills, knowledge and understanding of working in agriculture and the countryside and prepare for employment or progression to a more advance course. Kingston Maurward offers the ideal environment for students to develop at their own pace under expert guidance. The programme offers a broad range of subjects and practical skills. Assessment takes place throughout the year. Learning support in numeracy, literacy, study skills, information technology and vocational skills is available.

What qualifications will I need?
Interest and enthusiasm in working in the landbased industries. GCSE D to G or equivalent. Other experience will also be considered.

What is involved?
Monday to Thursday, with work experience encouraged during vacations.

Where will it take me?
Work based training, employment and voluntary work.

What materials are required?
Practical clothing, overalls, waterproofs, steel toe'capped safety boots, basic stationery. Tetanus protection is recommended.

What is next?
A First Certificate or Diploma course. Work based learning. e2e.

How will I be assessed?
Mainly portfolio and College based assessments.
