About this course

The course is open to school leavers, mature students, the disabled and students with English as a second language. To cope with the demands of the course we would expect applicants to have achieved GCSE in English, Maths, Science and DT at grades A to C. All applicants will be expected to sit an entrance test prior to any place being offered.

Duration :Full Time - 2 days plus tutorials for 1 year
Who the Course is For:
The Level 1 National Award in Plumbing is a national designed course and is an introduction into plumbing as a career. The qualification is intended to enhance future employment within the plumbing industry and allows a student to gain the necessary skills required in basic aspects of plumbing as a craft. The course is college based and does not require the candidate to hold a position of employment.
Assessment:
Students undertake practical assessment tasks when they consider themselves ready, and examinations during their learning programme.
Course Leads To:
It provides excellent training for progression into employment in plumbing, or a VRQ 6129 level 2 in plumbing programme may be followed.
