This course is for those who have chosen a career in Manufacturing Engineering. It is an excellent starting platform and will give you a good grounding in the practical and theory aspects of the industry.

The course includes:
Mandatory Core (three Credits): Communications Core Skill unit, Mathematics: Craft 1, Engineering: Using Information Technology.

Restricted Core five Units: Computer Aided Draughting for Engineers, Engineering Dimensional Control, Engineering Materials, Engineering Manufacturing Processes, Engineering Material Removal Principles, plus four optional Credits.

Further Study/Employment
Can lead to employment in a manufacturing environment, and progression to a Higher National Qualification in an Engineering Discipline.
