The Course
This course is practical and work related. You learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic activities, analysis of games, players and the industry. These require a unique set of skills, which covers disciplines in games development, design and production, graphic design, use of media, programming and logical problem solving. Units provide a solid understanding of the wider media environment and students acquire important research, managerial and other professional skills.

This course is assessed via ongoing observations and assignments. Each unit has a number of assignments which you are expected to complete within a given timescale. Presentations may occasionally be used for assessing your learning. This qualification has no formal examinations.

Progression/Career Path
This qualification is equivalent to three A Levels and is recognised by universities as a pathway for good students to continue on to HNDs, Foundation or Honours Degrees. Careers include: games-related or IT disciplines such as a developer or designer.
