Course Details
Students must have a real enthusiasm for live and recorded
music and would like to develop their skills as a player or singer.

What will I study?
Tutors on this course are all professional musicians who will be
supporting and challenging students to play, sing, compose and record their music in a thriving artistic environment.

Units studied are:

· Planning and Creating a Music Product
· Exploring the Music Profession
· Musical Performance
· Exploring Musical Composition
· Working on a Musical Ensemble
· Producing a Musical Recording

You will be working to develop your own skills as a player or singer, as well as working in bands both in rehearsals and live performances.

You will also study key skills and resit GCSE English or Maths if appropriate.

Level: 2

Entry Requirements:
Progression/Careers: Students who complete the course may progress to a Level 3
qualification. The qualification will also enhance your
employment prospects.

Costs/Equipment: Studio fee: £35, plus materials for personal use and visits outside of College. Student†s instrument must be maintained for concert
readiness
