You will be expected to be available to attend college for 3 ½ days between Monday to Thursday 9am to 5.30pm and Friday 9am to 4.30pm.
Course Description
The NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Airport Operations is an ideal qualification for learners wanting to develop an understanding of the airport environment and is ideal for those looking to secure employment within an airport operations role
Course Structure
The qualification consists of 6 mandatory units:
- Unit 01 Airport operations
- Unit 02 Health, safety and security in airports
- Unit 03 Passenger service
- Unit 04 Handling air passengers
- Unit 05 Ground handling services
- Unit 06 Landside and airside roles and responsibilities.
Learners may also be required to complete a key skill subject at an appropriate level.
Course Assessment
Learners must successfully complete all 6 mandatory units to be awarded the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Airport Operations.
Assessment will be by a range of methods including: Practical tasks/role play, written assignments and presentations.
These must be completed to set deadlines and will require completion outside of college hours.

Course Costs
There are no course fees if you are under 19 years old on 31 August 2010. However, you may have to pay for textbooks, personal kits, uniforms, trips and personal stationery. You will be informed of these at your interview.
All learners will require a Columbus travel Atlas (approx £19 from college or direct from publisher).
A uniform will be required.
