WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
You will build on the skills acquired in Level 2 to enhance your employability in the trade.
Specifically you will work with a wider range of materials and apply them to more complex surface areas. You will be hanging matching wallpapers and papering ceilings, also extending the specialist decorative effects from Level 2.
Added competences for Level 3 are Airless spraying, Coving and Centrepieces
WHAT WILL I STUDY?
You will study and achieve the following qualification on the course:-
Key Skills Communication Level 2
Key Skills Application of Number Level 2
Painting and Decorating Diploma Level 3
Diploma Level 3 comprises 10 units each containing practical work and theoretical knowledge.
There will be continual practical assessment and mandatory questions with Synoptic Assignment and Online testing which must be passed.
You will also complete the Key Skills Communications L1 and Key Skills Application of Number L2
There will be regular tutorial periods to support your learning and assist progress, in addition there are activities to enrich your experience both in your chosen trade and social life.
WHAT ARE MY COMMITMENTS?
The course requires a minimum of 15 hours per week study, plus any additional support workshop sessions identified. You will need to be able to study alone and research subjects on the Internet and in the Library as there is a requirement for home study at this level. You will need to attend all of the timetabled classes and tutorial/support sessions. If your attendance falls below 85% you may not be able to complete your studies.
The timetable should be:
Monday 9.15am - 4.30pm
Tuesday 9.15am - 7.00pm
