Performing Arts: BTEC National Diploma
BTEC National in Performing Arts is a two-year full-time, practical, skill-based performance course, equivalent to three A levels.

Course details
You will study Performing Arts full-time, with the option of studying one extra A level, according to ability. You will study acting, singing, dance and production skills, in order to give you a really broad creative training, with many opportunities to perform.

How is it assessed?
Most of the work is project-based, and all is internally assessed by the Performing Arts team.

Course duration
Two years full-time.

What do I need to study this subject?
You should have five GCSE grades A*-C including Drama or another expressive arts subject, and a keen interest in theatre and performance.

Where can this lead me?
The course can lead to drama school for professional acting courses or a degree, or to university to study drama or humanities at degree level. Our students have performed at the National Theatre and on Eastenders. Recent graduates have gained places on top performing arts courses, such as the Acting degree at East 15 Acting School, and the BA Hons degree in Drama at Middlesex University.
