The Course
An intensive single year course developing and extending skills in dance with the direct purpose of preparing students for progression to Drama or Dance Schools and vocational university and college courses. The course is primarily practice based with emphasis on training through acting, voice and movement.

• Rehearsal and Performance Workshop leading to showcase production
• Performing Arts Business how a company and the industry work, marketing, individual finances, interviews and auditions

You will also choose from the following options:

• Contemporary Performance

• Variety Performance

Assessment/Exams
The course is assessed through a programme of assignments which use a variety of assessment methods which may take many different forms, eg written work, presentations, discussions, meetings, shows, etc. The student's work is then presented to the examination board through a Portfolio of Evidence and a final grade is awarded.

Progression/Career Path
Students can progress to a Northbrook Foundation Degree/BA in: Acting, Musical Theatre, Physical Theatre, Contemporary Dance, Drama or Dance School, Specialist university course.

Qualifications Required
Four GCSEs at grade A*-C or BTEC First Diploma or Level 2 qualification or Higher Diploma in a relevant subject.
