PROGRAMME CONTENT/STRUCTURE
This qualification has been designed to provide students with knowledge of the electrical and plumbing industry and make them a more viable proposition for future employers and to gain an apprenticeship.
Students will receive training and will work on a range of electrical and plumbing applications in order to develop you skills, job knowledge and understanding. The course has a balance of practical, theory and has a substantial programme to develop your maths skills to prepare for progression to the apprenticeship programme.
In addition to studying Basic/Key Skills, the subjects covered will include:
Working Safely in an Engineering Environment
Working Efficiently and Effectively in Engineering
Using and Communicating Technical Information
Wiring Electrical Equipment and Circuits
Pipe Systems
PROGRESSION/CAREERS OPPORTUNITIES
On successful completion, students could progress on to the City and Guilds 2330 Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology Level 2 or Plumbing Level 2 or Programme Led Apprenticeship qualifications.
