Developed in response to the industry's request for broader training to improve the skills, knowledge and understanding of the future workforce this course provides a more detailed introduction to plumbing.

What will I study?
Students will learn how to cut, bend and install pipe-work made out of various materials including components of domestic systems. Students will study the same units as on the Level 1course but in more detail. In addition to this students will also study:
· Central Heating System - Domestic heating control
· Electrical Supply and Earth Continuity - Learning theory behind the basics of electrical supply and heating systems within a property
· Sheet Lead Weathering - Practical and theory session regarding how to install lead work on a roofing system
· Effective Working Relationships - Introduction to the site structures within the construction industry and the teamwork aspect of the job.
The course also includes a one week internal assessment (installation of a bathroom suite).

What next?
Students who successfully complete this course will be ideally placed to pursue careers within then industry or to go on to study for an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing.
