Is there an interview?
Yes, an interview is required and you may have to complete an initial assessment to ensure your skills are suitable for the level of the course.

What can I progress to?
A Level 3 qualification.

What is the course about?
The course is aimed at enabling those with a good level of computing knowledge to gain a full level 2 qualification by producing a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates competence. Students are required to do a considerable amount of work outside the classroom using online learning resources and producing work for the portfolio.

What are the course outcomes?
On completion of a portfolio of evidence, successful learners will also be awarded a nationally recognised IT qualification - ITQ - at Level 2.

Are there any additional requirements?

Materials;
·USB Memory Stick (flash drive)to save work
· Access to the internet outside the classroom

How will you be assessed?
Learners will be assessed through completing a portfolio of evidence across word, powerpoint, database, spreadsheet, internet and e-mail applications.
There is no examination fee.
