This three evening course introduces students to colour mixig to match different types of skin tones. Working from observation, we will explore how to develop a palette of warm and cool colours working from a live model, photographs and a selection of artist paintings.

About this course

Select a palette of colours appropriate to use
Use warm and cool colours to create form
Work from two shades to analyse colour mixes
Use brush marks to convey form and texture
Work with paint layers to extend depth of colour
Make notes to record discoveries.

All materials provided. A notebook would be useful to write down colour mixing combinations etc.
