Course Description
This course will advance your knowledge and existing skills related to hair styling. You will concentrate on developing your techniques in cutting, re-styling, and colouring/correction. You will be taught how to organise demonstrations and implementpromotions for a professional salon. Lessons will also deal with supporting health and safety, financial planning, along with how to improve and maintain services to clients.

Entry Requirements
Level 3 Work-based Advanced Apprenticeship learners will have to undertake a period of initial assessment, including a vocational aptitude test, and achieve between 50% and 70% in both Literacy and Numeracy Level 2 diagnostic tests.

• To be eligible for this course you must have a work placement in a hairdressing salon
• Promoting Additional Products or Services to Clients
• Creating a Variety of Looks Using a Combination of Cutting Techniques
• Develop and Enhance Your Creative Hairdressing Skills Using a Variety of Techniques
• Providing Hairdressing Consultation Services
• Styling and Dressing Long Hair
• Providing Colour Correction Techniques

Attendance Modes: Day

Assessment: Assessed continually through the observation of practical skills, written tests, oral questions, projects and assignments and the production of a portfolio of evidence. The assignments will provide evidence associated with your practical skills.

Progression Routes: Further study at Hairdressing Level 3, Barbering Level 2 and 3, Beauty Therapy Level 2 and 3, leading into employment as a Hairdresser, Artistic Director, Product Demonstrator, Sales Representative.
