Course Description
Your course will be full-time, you will enhance your knowledge of Hairdressing and Customer Service skills. You will gain experience in all aspects of Cutting and Colouring Techniques as well as improving your Styling Techniques and Product Knowledge.A team of experienced lecturers will provide support and assistance throughout your programme.

Entry Requirements
4 GCSEs Grade D, incl. English. (Maths D for some courses). Or Pass in Level 1 Vocational Qual., Merit for BTECs, plus Key Skills Level 1 Comm. (App. of Number for some courses) or equivalent. Diplomas require Functional Skills in ICT, Maths and English.

• H6 Cut Hair using Basic Techniques

• H13 Colour hair using Basic Techniques

Duration: 1 year

Attendance Modes: Day

Assessment: Assessed through the observation of practical skills, written tests, oral questions, projects and assignments along with the production of a portfolio of evidence. The assignments will provide evidence associated with your practical skills .

Progression Routes: You can progress on to the Level 3 Hairdressing programme, Barbering Level 2, and Beauty Level 2. Could lead to employmen as Hair Stylist, Artistic Director, Product Demonstrator and Sales Representative.
