Course Content

Many Employment Tribunals are lost because the disciplinary meeting held between the employer and the employee was incorrectly handled. The reasons for this are many and varied. Typically it is a lack of experience at dealing with these matters. It can also be a total lack of understanding as to the exact nature of the manner in which the law requires us to conduct such meetings.

The aim of this course is to give delegates the skills and knowledge to be able to satisfy the criteria of the statutory dismissal, disciplinary and grievance procedure.

Key Topics

  • The importance of the Contract of Employment and its link to the disciplinary procedure
