Health and Safety Level 2
Who should take this health and safety course?
One of the most essential steps that employers can take towards creating a safe environment is to ensure that all new employees receive suitable health and safety induction training. This should cover basic safety principles and the organisation’s health and safety arrangements – such as first aid facilities, fire precautions and evacuation procedures.
In providing workers with information and training on health and safety at work, employers can help to ensure that everyone has the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their work safely and therefore help to manage risks effectively in the workplace.
However it is not just employees who need to receive health and safety training. Managers and supervisors also play a key role in ensuring a safe working environment and need to be given adequate training to enable them to manage health and safety effectively. Managerial and supervisory staff need to be aware of relevant health and safety legislation and must be able to check that any control measures in the workplace are effectively reducing the risks.
