To give: An understanding of corporate and personal responsibilities under health and safety law when working on assignment and location. A broad overview of the risk management issues to be considered during newsgathering, including hazard identification, risk assessment and good health and safety management. The opportunity to analyse and discuss the risk management used on assignment and location. Information about risk management policy and procedures, including how news crews should interact with contractors and others. Suitable for: All staff who work on assignment and location and those who have management responsibility for people working on location. Designed for all News staff (television and radio), this course will provide essential knowledge and understanding of the types of risks that are encountered in newsgathering and the safe working practices that can reduce those risks to an acceptable level.
