Description of the Course
The NVQ Care Level 3 programme has been primarily designed to meet the needs of individuals currently employed in care homes or domicilary care who want a recognised qualification to underpin their practical experience. All participants will have their own assessor/mentor to guide them through the qualification, carry out assessments in the workplace and help them build a portfolio of work related evidence. A high degree of flexibility has been built into the scheme so that participants are able to choose assessment times that suits their particular needs.
Course content
Candidates are required to complete the following 4 compulsory units:

· Promote effective communication for and about individuals
· Promote, monitor and maintain Health and Safety and security in the working environment
· Reflect on and develop your practice
· Promote choice, well-being and the protection of all individuals
· Together with 4 optional units.

Assessment
Candidates must produce a portfolio of work related evidence to achieve the qualification.
Who is the course for?
The course is suited to carers in Supervisory Roles who are currently working in Residential Homes, Nursing Homes, Domiciliary Care and those working with clients who have special needs
