What will I study?
The Modern History course explores contrasting themes of freedom and oppression. Topics may include the Civil Rights struggle in the USA, Maos China and US Foreign Policy after 1950 at AS, and 20th century Germany (1900-45) and aspects of 19th and 20th century Russia (1855-1964) at A2.
Duration:
One year for AS Level and a further year to complete the A2.

Assessment is by examination and coursework: Year one is exam-based; year two is a mixture of exams and coursework.
