Safe lifting and moving of service users is an essential part of care work. If it is not done properly it may lead to pain, discomfort, disability as well as accidents. Therefore, it is the duty of all employees involved in manual handling tasks to take all necessary precautions to ensure these procedures are carried out safely according to the ‘Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 , and (HSWA) Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (MHOR) (as amended 2002)21 Nov 2016′.

About this course

Ideal for induction training as well as refresher, in accordance with your company policy or local authority requirements, with full attendance and practical skills certificate provided. You will also receive a company certificate as evidence of compliance.
