Course Aims:
This is a one year NVQ course for those students who wish to specialise in hospitality management and gain practical skills by working in our college restaurant 'Clouds'
Course Content:
You will assist the lecturers in running the college restaurant. This will involve working with and leading teams, ordering supplies, dealing with customers, supervising food service, promoting events, bar management and monitoring payments and stock control.
You will also study theory to develop your supervisory skills
Progression:
You may wish to progress straight into industry or move into Higher Education and study at degree level
Awarding Body:
City and Guilds (HAB)
Exam:
You will be continuously assessed throughout the course, through practical and product work. You will be required to complete a portfolio with evidence that you have collected throughout the year.
