Fahmida was always enthusiastic even when getting a team of strangers to interact was not dissimilar to trying to get a class of students to decide who wants to present their project first. Her skills & ability to listen without judgement were evident when in session 4 people felt comfortable enough to volunteer and talk through their own mental health struggles in a (virtual) room of 15 strangers. It was a fun and informative training course & I will definitely keep the workbooks for reference in the future. The team was always available to help if I needed it.

As my journey as Workplace Manager continues and we embrace the transformation journey we are going through at site, I can not recommend enough how the ILM Leadership and Management course has helped me to progress on this journey. I have studied both the ILM Level 3 and Level 4 Leadership & Management qualifications through HR Champions and it has been a fantastic experience. Our initial classroom sessions were enjoyable and well-paced and the move to virtual webinars following lockdown continued the course without interruption. The course leaders were friendly and approachable and the email support with assignments and additional documents to support learning has been extremely helpful. I’ve really enjoyed my time learning with HR Champions.

I recently attended the Mental Health First Aid course with Julie at HR Champions.
This was an interactive online course spanning two days. I found the course very useful, particularly with the practical role-play exercises to consider the various scenarios involving a conversation about mental health. Since completing the course and using the skills learnt back in my workplace, I found that the ‘CARE’ model has been especially helpful as it has enabled me to follow a structured conversation and achieve effective signposting to specialist agencies which the individual person can follow up on.
Thanks to Julie and the team for a practical and insightful training course, I feel I gained a lot of knowledge.
