Yes, an interview is required and you may have to complete an initial assessment to ensure your skills are suitable for the level of the course.

What can I progress to?
You would be able to do simple accounting work, ie if you were self employed.

What is the course about?
This beginners level provides the candidates with the knowledge of basic computerised book-keeping routines. They will gain an initial insight into both cash and credit business transactions, VAT and other computerised routines.

What are the course outcomes?
The qualification will provide a basis for progression to the study of the IAB Level 2 Certificate in Computerised Book-keeping and after that you could go onto the AAT route.

How will you be assessed?
All learning outcomes will be assessed through an externally set and marked examination lasting 1.5 hours (consisting of a practical task/case study as well as a theory task, which may be hand-written or prepared using word-processing software).
