Teaching Learning Methods:
Teaching is a combination of theoretical lectures and practical work. It is essential that learners have a good working knowledge of the basic application packages (word processing, spreadsheets and databases) as well as the ability to use the internet and other electronic media as a source of research.
Assessment:
Assessment for this course is 100% coursework and will comprise of a number of set tasks; both theoretical as well as practical.

Progression:
This course provides an excellent foundation for progression to a degree in ICT or one of its branches at University. There is also employment opportunities post 18, either full time as a trainee programmer or in an IT department, or as part of a "sandwich course" which combines a degree with a one year work placement.
