About this course
You will need to have basic computing skills, e.g. use a mouse, use Microsoft Windows including basic word processing skills. You should have literacy at Entry Level 3 / Level 1. It is recommended that you attend an advice and guidance session to find out if this is the right course for you. You will be asked to complete an assessment at this session.

What will I learn?
This course is for students who would like to learn how to use a computer in their everyday lives and at work. It introduces students to the functions and uses of a computer, introducing them to the word processing, spreadsheets and database packages.

This course is taught in a classroom using varied teaching and learning techniques. You will have a mixture of group activities and discussions.

The assessments are set assignments from the exam board and takes place at the end of each unit.
