The course is about learning the processes and techniques to communicate ideas through image-making. You will be guided through the process of answering to a brief. You will learn to research a subject, generate and communicate ideas.You will be introduced to a variety of traditional and contemporary tools and techniques including collage, cut-outs, drawing, paint, 3D objects and digital and will evaluate the context in order to select the most appropriate. You will explore the relationship between text and image. You will be introduced to different approaches in visual story-telling. You will create a portfolio of work using a range of media and will learn about the tricks of setting up your own illustration practice.
